Who confers my degree?
Your degree is conferred by the partner US university where you complete your final years. Aptra is a quality-assurance standard, not a university, and does not confer degrees.
Do I need an entrance exam for the US university?
No. US universities admit transfer students on their record, not an entrance exam — and the Aptra pathway is built around that: your two years of proctored, externally moderated coursework are your proof. Two things to plan for: a recognized English test (TOEFL or IELTS) at the score your target university requires, and, for a few competitive programs, program-specific items such as a design portfolio — always published in advance, never a surprise.
Can I finish the final years online?
Sometimes. Most students complete their final years on the US campus, and that remains the primary pathway. Some partner universities also offer online or hybrid completion tracks for certain majors — where available, it is the same university and the same degree, conferred by the university either way. Your transfer counselor will tell you which options apply to your intended major.
Is transfer guaranteed?
Transfer is conditional, not automatic. If you meet the published conditions — GPA threshold, English proficiency, and completed coursework — Aptra certifies you as transfer-ready under the standing agreements with partner universities. Each university makes its own final admission decision.
What do I study in the first years?
A US-aligned curriculum: general-education and lower-division courses mapped to what students at US universities take in their first two years, taught in English for designated courses.
How is quality controlled at my local institution?
Your institution is certified under the Aptra Standard and audited annually. Assessments follow standardized rubrics, and samples of graded work are externally moderated so that your grades carry verified weight.
What English level do I need?
You need a baseline level to enter the program and a higher, verified level to transfer. Exact requirements are published by your certified institution and confirmed through recognized English-proficiency testing before transfer.
What happens if I don't meet the transfer conditions?
You can retake courses or testing to meet the conditions in a later cycle, or continue your studies at your local institution under its own programs. Your local academic record remains yours.
How much does it cost?
Tuition for the local years is set by your certified institution at local rates; tuition for the final years is set by the US university you transfer to. Your certified institution will give you a full picture of both before you enroll.
Can I choose my major?
Yes, within the programs your certified institution offers and the majors covered by partner-university agreements. Transfer counseling at your institution helps you align your course plan with your intended major early.
